My name is Jolande, otherwise known online as DutchOrca, an alias that comes from my love for orca's.
I'm a self-taught artist, I've been drawing for as long as I can remember, starting out with mostly graphite drawings. The discovery of Copic Markers and ACEO's (Art Cards Editions and Orginals) also known as sketchcards, added another dimension to my art and raised it to a higher level, because thanks to both the markers and the smaller format I was able to create more art in a shorter time. Which in turn meant more practice and experience.
My love for nature and animals, especially cetaceans, have a big influence on my art, though nature in general will always be an inspiration.
